The Department of Economic Development of the respective emirate is to be approached for ‘initial approval’ and registration the trade name. This can be done by either by visiting their office or through their eServices. Please note that only after seeking the initial approval you can proceed for additional approvals of other authorities which is a requisite for certain business/trading activities.
